“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
The unseen realm exists just as truly as the seen one does.
Heart issues exist in the unseen realm until they are triggered and manifest in negative or positive ways.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
Luke 6:45 NKJV
It’s easy just to bury our heart issues under a facade of okay-ness. When we believe that we have to be “okay” all the time, our issues will get buried deeper under rubble of bitterness and anger, resentment and hurt. And as the saying goes- Hurt people, hurt people.
As victims of other people’s hurt, our greatest goal should be to undo the hurt in our lives. How do we do this? We give our broken hearts to God. Really, only He can bear the weight of it.
Have you tried to carry something that is broken and fragmented? It’s so much harder than carrying something that’s put together and secure. You’re forever bending over to pick up pieces that have gone astray and fallen off, trying not to lose any parts in the process.
Admitting that your heart is broken, is the first step to healing it. Then it’s no longer out of sight to God. Offer it to Him and then allow Him to fix it, fix the people who broke your heart and fix the mindset you developed in your broken state. He’s all about renewing our mind. He’s able to carry your broken pieces until they are made whole again.
“Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.”
PROVERBS 4:23 AMP
Watching over anything takes patience and perseverance. Being mindful of where your heart is at, what triggers it and where you’re vulnerable, will allow you to deal with and grow from what you see.
Just remember, whether you choose to see it or not, other people will. And it will normally be evident in what you say.
We thank you that nothing is unseen to You for You exist in the unseen realm. We thank you that even though you see our most broken pieces, you still desire to carry us and bring healing to our hearts. Thank you for your grace that looks beyond the sin and does the deep work of restoration. May Your life be glorified in mine as you fix me, mold me, and make me into who you want me to be.
In Jesus name, Amen
